The roadheader is a machine for excavating rock in mining and civil construction projects. It is a hybrid machine, with better manoeuvrability than that of tunnel boring machines.
Equipped with a milling head, this machine can work during coal or semi – coal tunnel boring with a hardness of 4F without the need for gunning.
This machine is equipped with quick coupler, and the bucket and milling head are interchangeable during rock tunneling. After blasting, the digging bucket is used to load the slag, realized the purpose of one machine for dual use.
